Bonjour! Je m’appelle Hiroko et je suis très heureuse d’être ici à Paris, ce qui me donne notamment l’occasion de partager le yoga avec vous !
Hello! I am keen to share yoga with you all and look forward to seeing you in this beautiful city of Paris!
FACEBOOK @ hirokoyoga
I’ve accumulated (and continue to evolve!) so much from my own practice, experiences and wish to share the gifts with you. See details HERE (Courses/Cours)!
Please contact me for trial lessons or for any questions! Classes can be offered in English, Japanese(日本語), or French (français)🇯🇵🇺🇸🇫🇷
I do my best to cater to personal needs (as no body is the same) , and be of help for one to bring to light the best version of themselves. The base of my practice is Balance. There are two sankrit words, “Sthira and Sukham” which translates as “Steadiness and Ease“. By incorporating this idea in our postures; and into our life, we can surely find our balance in life. I hope to share more with you along the journey in real life 🙂 !
Did everyone survive the intense heat?
Though I’m fully aware that yes, I repeat this every year, I think
this one was one of the hottest of them all.
I’ve started to enjoy the beach and walks, finally!
(And a lot of legs-up-the-wall of course!)
Update from hirokoyoga:
- Collaboration with Shiseido product to introduce yoga for well-being (Keep updated here)
- Relocation of hirokoyoga in October to be announced soon!
The SI (Sacroiliac Joint) joint has a nature of making small movements; but on top of that, I have a real sensitive one-one that moves around and is prone to misaligning itself. When this fragile boney joint goes out of place-my pelvis will get distorted, affecting the balance of my entire body-starting with the lower back traveling pain all the way down to my toes and fingers (Sciatica!)
Of course my daily yoga practice keeps me mindful for warning signs and helps with prevention & relief.
But what’s just as beneficial, is reflecting your 24/7. Yup, looking back at daily habits that can prevent these sudden spasms.
The habits were major culprits. You will thank yourself for avoiding (I know its not ALWAYS possible) these simplest things!
1) Being low on sleep 2) Bringing your smartphone into bed 3) Carrying a heavy bag on one shoulder and walking long distances 4) Crossing your legs
I really love the minimalist’s idea. Although, its a work-in-progress especially when it comes to what I put in my bag. Once in a while I dump out my bag and ask myself, what do I really use? I end up packing up just 10 items out of 25.
Not only will it take a huge burden off your shoulder, but surprisingly, your mind too.
Happy yoga, from hirokoyoga:)
VIPARITA KARANI aka “legs-up-the-wall-pose”.
Get into the pose: Find a wall and bring your sit bones close to the wall, extend the legs and RELAX.
*legs do not have to be completely straight!
It’s the most simple-yet most beneficial asana (pose) I know to:
1. Quiet the mind
2. Release fatigue and cramps in the legs
*When was the last time you did a cartwheel? Once in a while, let our energy go bottom-up instead of the usual top-bottom.
3. Gently stretches hamstrings, back and lower back
4. Eases digestion, stomach cramps
5. Helps Insomnia
+Shift in perception, new ideas, creativity!!
These are just a few of the benefits. I do this when my mind or body feels tension, and after 5 minutes I feel completely rejuvenated yet relaxed.
Happy yoga from hirokoyoga:)
It’s all about living Yoga daily. Living with steadiness & ease.
